Who I Am

My Name is Edward Moorcroft, I have a Bachelors degree in Live Sound Engineering and specalise in live audio and premium installs.

I started my journey at my secondary school in the technical team working on school productions and live performances. Every year we would have Battle of The Bands and the school theatre production.

From there I joined Chichester Festival Theatres Tech Youth Theatre in 2011, where I gained a Bronze Arts Award. During college I studied Music and Stage Management.

Fast Foward to 2016 and I started freelancing on my own as Moorcroft Sound. I have worked with Charities, Churches, Event Organisers, Bands/Artists to put on different events and run the sound.

In 2021 I finished my Bachelors Degree in Live Sound Engineering as I wanted to further progress my knowledge and gain a qualification in the field.

Since then I have worked directly with manufacturers attending Webinars, Seminars and Workshops learning about their products more in detail so I can bring more knowledge to the table when working with Clients to meet their needs.

Along side Moorcroft Sound I have been working at Vaillant Live in Derby, a brand new 3,500 capacity venue as a technician.

I am flexible with all roles within a live sound environment from Front of House Operation, Monitor Operation, RF Systems Tech and Systems Engineer.
